PR Services

Learn how to become your own PR person and get publicity for your TAUK book!

  • Are you an aspiring or published TAUK author?
  • Do you struggle to think of newsworthy ways to talk about your book(s) to the press?
  • Would you love two former professional reporters to give you story ideas, press release templates, tools and strategies?
  • Ideas that work for both fiction and non-fiction titles for readers of all ages?

Newspapers, magazines, podcast hosts, radio and TV producers want to hear from authors just like you. There’s no need to hire a PR agency to play ‘the middleman’ – and charge you an expensive retainer for the privilege!

Instead, TAUK Publishing has partnered with PR specialists Write on Time Ltd to offer you access to several learning tools – specifically created with authors like you in mind – so you can become your own PR person.

The husband-and-wife team behind Write on Time Ltd, Michelle and Christian Ewen, have worked in real-life newsrooms and press offices for more than 30 years combined, so they know a thing or two about telling stories!

Christian has also worked for a world-leading specialist publisher – project managing books from first draft through to print. Michelle took charge of the same publisher’s social media channels, as well as securing press coverage for their authors.

Together, Michelle and Christian wrote and published #SheCan365 with TAUK – a book that was funded entirely through Kickstarter.

As TAUK’s chosen PR partners, Michelle and Christian know exactly what’s involved and how you are feeling at every step of the publishing process… and they want to help you shout about your book!

How can PR help my book?

Marketing again and again to the same audience is a sure-fire way to exhaust your book sales and get stuck in a rut.

And yet so many authors keep showing up in the same places – speaking to the same audiences because it feels like the easiest and safest option.

How might it feel to welcome some new faces into your world? To get your message out to people other than a ‘friend of a friend’?

Your local newspaper has thousands of readers. Some regionals have millions. Then there are niche magazines, podcasts and radio shows that cater to authors and book fans, as well as national newspapers that need fresh story ideas 24/7.

Knowing how to talk about your book(s) in a newsworthy way is a skill you can learn. Are you ready to step outside your comfort zone and get in front of more readers?

FAQs

I’ve never been published in the press before. Can this still work for me?
